[stringtemplate-interest] ST in multi-threaded environment

Hi,

when I first considered ST as a replacement for Velocity, I took it for granted
that ST would be thread-safe. Finding out that it is not, I'd like to ask
those of you who render Web-Pages with ST:

How do you use ST in a multi-threaded environment (i.e., a web-server)?
Do you just ignore thread-safety and hope for the best?
Do you rely on external synchronization?
Or...?
